Terms and Conditions
1. Acknowledgement of Risk
Outdoor activities are inherently hazardous. Risks include, but are not limited to, falls, collisions, equipment failure, adverse weather conditions, remote locations, and the actions of others.
By booking and participating, you acknowledge and accept that:
· You participate entirely at your own risk.
· Serious injury or death may occur despite all reasonable precautions taken by the guides.
· Not all risks can be eliminated, even with professional guidance and safety measures.
2. Bookings and Payment
· All bookings are subject to availability and confirmation by the Company.
· Full payment (or a non-refundable deposit where applicable) is required to secure a booking.
· Prices are as advertised at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in writing.
· We reserve the right to refuse or cancel a booking at our discretion.
3. Equipment Condition
Participants who wish to use their own equipment must agree to this equipment being checked by the guide. The equipment must be undamaged and appropriate to the environment in which it will be used.
This includes, but is not limited to:
· No damage to the equipment
· Fully functioning for the environment it will be used in
· Is CE rated and manufactured for the specific activity.
· In date within the manufacturers guidelines
For mountain biking activities, those who wish to use their own bike should:
· Arrive with all the correct spare equipment that is listed in the pre activity information that is received after the booking form submission.
· The bike is clean and in good working condition, with no damage to components or frame, including cracks, rust or wearing of parts.
· Both front and rear brakes are in good working condition, being able to safely stop a bike at any speed.
The guide reserves the right to refuse participation if a bike/equipment is deemed unsafe. Failure to comply will result in exclusion from the activity with no guarantee of refund.
5. Other Required Equipment and Information
Participants are responsible for bringing all necessary equipment required for the activity, which may include (but is not limited to):
· Appropriate clothing for weather and terrain
· Food, water, and personal medication/any medical devices.
· A completed participant booking form
All participants will receive a pre activity information package that will outline what each participant must bring. The guide will be able to provide some spare equipment with prior request.
Failure to bring required equipment or information may result in refusal to participate.
6. Medical Information
· Participants must provide accurate and up-to-date medical information prior to the activity.
· This includes any medical conditions, injuries, allergies, medications, or other relevant health issues.
· Failure to disclose relevant medical information may increase risk and invalidate any insurance or liability protections.
Participants confirm they are medically fit to take part unless otherwise stated and agreed in advance.
7. Liability and Responsibility
· Guides do not accept responsibility for injury, loss, or damage sustained during the activity unless it is proven to be directly caused by the Company’s negligence.
· The Company is not responsible for:
o Participant error or poor decision-making
o Failure of personal equipment
o Actions of third parties
o Natural hazards or environmental conditions
· There is zero tolerance to participants taking part in an activity under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Any participant who attends an activity under the influence of drugs or alcohol will be refused participation with no refund.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so under UK law.
8. Photography and Media
· The guide/other participants may take photographs or videos during activities for promotional, marketing, or training purposes.
· By participating, you grant permission for your image to be used unless you explicitly notify us in writing prior to the activity.
· No personal details will be shared without consent.
9. Cancellation or Rescheduling by the Company
The Company reserves the right to cancel or reschedule activities due to:
o Unsafe weather or trail conditions
o Guide illness or unavailability
o Insufficient participant numbers
o Safety concerns beyond our control
Where possible, an alternative date or activity will be offered, but this cannot be guaranteed.
10. Cancellation by the Customer
· Cancellation by the participant does not guarantee a refund.
· Refunds, credits, or rescheduling are at the discretion of the Company unless otherwise stated at the time of booking.
· Failure to attend (“no-shows”) will not be refunded.
11. Agreement to Terms and Conditions
By booking, signing the participant information form, or taking part in any guided activity, you confirm that:
· You have read and understood these Terms and Conditions.
· You agree to be bound by them in full.
· You accept personal responsibility for your actions and safety during the activity.
